Thank you to everyone who showed up last night!

Wow! Last night was an incredible way to kickoff the Cycle for Security National Bike Tour.

More than 100 people turned out to City Bikes – Adams Morgan to support the Make US Strong movement to protect international development. Former Army Capt. Drew Sloan, a true American hero, gave the opening remarks, Truman’s Mike Moschella put the event in context of the broader campaign (and embarrassed the heck out of me), and we raffled off a unicycle to one lucky winner (see below).

While I’m sad to be leaving DC – I’m heading to California on Monday to train for the next few months, the tour starts in February from San Diego – knowing that there’s a diverse community of friends andsupporters here in DC will definitely keep me motivated on my three month journey back. Thank you to City Bikes – Adams Morgan and everyone who came out last night for a send-off to remember. If you couldn’t make it last night but still want to support the tour, you can give here:  https://rally.org/cycleforsecurity
