Sign Petition and Tell Congress to Keep America Safe
Members of Congress:
Military strength alone can’t address all of the threats to global stability and America’s security.
For the sake of keeping America safe, I urge you to support robust funding for the International Affairs budget.
The House of Representatives, led by Congressman Paul Ryan (R-WI), recently passed the budget for 2013. This budget would jeopardize America’s national security by slashing funding for international development and diplomacy. These programs are vital to combating complex modern threats such as famine, pandemic disease, arms trafficking, and loose nuclear material. These and other emerging threats can only be defeated if we utilize all of the national security tools at our disposal: development, diplomacy, democracy, and defense.
