SF to Los Angeles…here we go!
My “unofficial” ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles begins today, and I am as excited as I am nervous. There’s a lot of gear on my bike – a little more than 30 lbs – which is more than I actually need for this trip but approximately what I’ll be carrying across the country. Train like you fight, fight like you train, as they say.
It’s a hilly ride, so I’m looking forward to getting my butt kicked a little over the next few days. Stay tuned for distraught tweets as I push over the mountains around Santa Cruz and Big Sur National Park.
San Francisco has been an absolute blast and I’m sad to say goodbye to this city and all the wonderful people here. The event on Wednesday night was amazing; I couldn’t be more grateful to the generous folks at Rally for hosting us in their incredible space, to National Field and New Leaders Council – San Francisco for co-sponsoring, to all the Truman folks who turned out, and to my friends who have made me feel at home in this city. Read a write-up about the event from my friends at the ONE Campaign here.
In roughly 500 miles and nine days I’ll arrive in Los Angeles, where I’ll meet with a bunch of new West Coast Truman Partners and … you guessed it… throw another party! Are you excited? I am. Los Angeles, get ready.
See below for details on the LA event on Monday, January 23rd. Hope to see you there!
