LA love – new & old Truman faces!
Hey, LA! I can’t thank you enough for coming out to support me, the ride, and the Make US Strong campaign. From the awesome staff at Perch to the West Coast Truman community and friends new and old who showed up despite the rainy weather… thanks!
A bunch of pics from the party are up on Facebook – make sure to “like” the Make US Strong page while you’re checking them out to keep up to date with the campaign and ride.
A special shout out to TJ Brady, a former Army officer and current writer on the show Army Wives, who spoke about his personal experiences and the need for a robust foreign aid budget, and to Suzy Jack from Mayor Villaraigosa’s office (and a West Coast Truman Project Partner!), for finding the venue and spreading the word. And, lastly, Morley Winograd, author of Millennial Momentum, which describes how the Millennial Generation is changing the way the United States lives and learns, votes and governs, works and plays. I connected with Morley a few years back and was actually quoted this fascinating book, but never had the opportunity to meet him in person…so glad he was able to stop by and support the tour!
Stay tuned….I launch my 4,200 mile bike ride in less than two week (yikes)!
